From Fortune Magazine: Bud Light boycotters decimating sales over Dylan Mulvaney promotion should think about employees, Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth says. An exemplar of our modern culture pretends to sample a brew the little people drink. Schubert : Sonata for Arpeggione & Fortepiano – 1. Allegro moderato.
I’ve been waiting for this for years, a revival of the long-obsolete instrument called the arpeggione. A sort of hybrid guitar and ‘cello, Schubert wrote some his most beautiful music for it, which has long been played on the ‘cello instead. Now, at last, we can hear Schubert’s Arpeggione Sonata as he intended it toContinue reading “Schubert : Sonata for Arpeggione & Fortepiano – 1. Allegro moderato.”
In Other Words, He Deserved to Die.
Way back in the ’90s, believe it or not, this arch-conservative subscribed to the New Republic magazine. Though solidly liberal, it was a thoughtful journal with some excellent and entertaining writers, including Charles Krauthammer, Mickey Kaus, Morton Kondracke, and a host of others. It was, to paraphrase the late Ed Koch, the last good liberalContinue reading “In Other Words, He Deserved to Die.”
Attention, please: we may no longer identify someone as white.
Seen on Twitter, courtesy The Twitchy. In time, even that oblique manner of referring to a white person by his geographical heritage will become unacceptable. Those of us burdened with the wrong hue will then be referenced, sotto voce as if uttering an obscenity, “lesser biological units.”
Uh, huh.
From the New York Post. Step number one would be to have a nice chat with the deacons and acolytes, which ought to solve the mystery of this “miracle” in no time. Also, the inane patois of the pastor would warrant a serious discussion with him as well. “God has duplicated himself in the ciborium,”Continue reading “Uh, huh.”
It’s come down to this: a black day for Holy Church in France.
And no doubt coming here soon. What’s next, finger prints on file and lie detector tests? I am not sure which is more disgraceful, the act itself or that French Church officials consider it necessary. Whatever, these actions seriously strip priests of their dignity and respect, relegating their status to that of low-level government clerks.Continue reading “It’s come down to this: a black day for Holy Church in France.”
It’s not only the Catholic Church in the States hitting new lows.
Catholic School Senior Arrested for Affirming Biological Gender Files Religious Discrimination Complaint If you have suspicions Holy Church in Canada is in league with the devil and his comrades-in-arms, the Trudeau Government, read below to remove any doubts. Some excerpts from the article, but read the whole thing for the most impact. High school seniorContinue reading “It’s not only the Catholic Church in the States hitting new lows.”
This just warms the cockles of my heart.

Oh, dear. This is unfortunate.
I suppose “God bless the USA” bumper stickers are tolerable, but I’m afraid this is way beyond the pale. No doubt the purveyor of it had the best of intentions, but we know what the road to hell is paved. Nationalism paired with the Rosary just isn’t cricket, with the added bonus of being sacrilege. ThanksContinue reading “Oh, dear. This is unfortunate.”
Georgetown University apologizes for being Christian, as well as Catholic, and erects mosque for atonement and expiation.
Remember, students, Sura 21:98 says, that all that are worshiped by men besides Allah will burn in Hell together with those who worship them. The University, cleansed of its sins, now awaits hopefully for the King Abdulaziz University of Saudi Arabia, and other Islamic study centers, to build Catholic chapels on their campuses.
